A little story & your secret link to my drop

Hi there

I am quite well known for WHAT I do, but one thing that is less talked about is WHY I do it, and I think this is an important topic to touch on in this email.

When I was small, I wanted to do all the heroic explorations: climbing Everest or exploring the Mariana Trench. As I grew older and fell in love with photography and travel, I realised that what I actually wanted was the feeling of exploration, the feeling of seeing something for the very first time 👀

In a world that has been almost completely documented in photographs, and where we are bombarded each day by so many beautiful and familiar images, I stumbled upon a new way to capture my adventures using a single beam of light in a world of darkness - like a solitary probe sent out by a distant planet 🛰️

For a kid who used to be terrified of the dark, making these images has become a powerfully cathartic experience, and I hope this energy comes through in my art.

TIMED LIMITED EDITION PRINT DROP: EARLY ACCESS

I’m excited to share with you the image and secret link to the drop that opens to the public tomorrow at 12pm CST for five days only.

ESCAPE VELOCITY is one of the strongest images from Lux Noctis - my most recognisable body of work that has been published far and wide, and held in printed form by institutions such as The Guggenheim, MoMA and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This print will be available in two sizes in editions of 69 and 28, plus a larger statement piece in an edition of 3, in framed and unframed options. Each print has its own NFC & blockchain registered Certificate of Authenticity that includes exclusive additional content (more on this in a later email!)

If you’ve ever collected any of my digital collectible art such as The Vanishing or Abandon Normal Instruments, this will be your chance to collect a physical piece, which in mind, is the final form of any photographic image, and has to be seen with your own eyes (all 150 megapixels of it 😄)

ESCAPE VELOCITY will be the only piece available in this five day print drop, and I don’t know when it will be available again, especially at this accessible price point.
